MALAYSIA: SHOPPING FOR THE LADIES BACK HOME

I didn't go Johor to shop, just to have lunch and do a look-see of the place. Unfortunately, we chanced upon this really nice shop in City Square mall called COMMA. Fantastic!

The Great Singapore Sale rubbed off on Malaysia so a sale was also going on in Johor. From the looks of it, I think the Malaysians really have a fantastic sense of fashion based on the clothes that are being sold in Johor. While the fashion is Singapore is a bit muted but still very stylish, Malaysian fashion is bordering on the outlandish and avant-garde. I think they take after the Japanese in their fashion influences. Oh, if only I were as reed thin as these people, i would have shopped 'til I dropped in Johor.

Anyway, since I only have a handful of ringgit, I managed to get some really nice stuff for the ladies back home (my aunts, to be specific).

And here's something really, really CUUUUUTE!!! These are salt and pepper shakers in a warm embrace. I got these two for RMB 10 (Php 150) only. It's rather difficult to find authentic Malaysian souvenir items aside from the usual fridge magnets. If at all, they are very expensive since we are obviously tourists, and the quality is oftentimes poor. Oh, well.
