SUNSET BOULEVARD

Manila, the City of our Affections, is bathed in a warm, comforting, orange-y glow during sunset. Some images for you:

    That nice building in the last picture seems to be empty. Is that along Roxas Blvd?

  2. it is empty. it is being converted into a hotel. Beside it is a new (but still close) and very hip-looking hotel called G.

    checked out funky G-Hotel and I was inofrmed by the sekyus that it was being sold(!?!) It hasnt been opened yet!!

    That empty building is the Admiral hotel..the last grand dame of Roxas boulevard...

    yes, that's the Admiral Hotel. The name escaped me during posting. it is done in an all-cream color scheme but is orange here because of the sunset.

    I miss the B-B-Q Plaza at the Dewey.

    b-b-q stalls at Dewey Blvd. when it gets dark?

  6. Anonymous, I am surprised you called it the Dewey. When was the last time you were in the Philippines?

    Yes, they still have the BBQ stalls there but there's a string of restaurants lining the beachfront now. You must come visit again!

    it's a historic hotel being the japanese headquarters during WW2 then by the Americans (Gen MacArthur) before the liberation

    sell it but please don't demolish like the others
